CommentsThere are two molecules in the crystallographic asymmetric unit. PDB chains for each molecule are: Molecule 1 : MHC ?-chain: A; ?2-m chain: B; epitope chain: C. Molecule 2 : MHC ?-chain: D; ?2-m chain: E; epitope chain: F. There is clear electron density for the peptide terminal residues in both molecules. In molecule 1; the density is continuous over the peptide main chain but the side chain for residue P6 is undefined. In molecule 2; the electron density is broken at residues P6 and P7. The peptides in the two molecules are not equivalent and the orientation of the P5 side chain is different. This assay refers to Molecule 1.
