CommentsEight hydrogen bonds are formed between HA2 residues (chain B) D19; Q42; T49; N53; D46 and VH residues (chain H) F29; R30; S31; Y98; including one water-mediated hydrogen bond between the residues I18 of HA2 and T56 of VH. The epitope is very similar to those from the structure of CR6261 Fab with Viet04/H5 [PDB: 3GBM] with five similar hydrogen bonds and 104 van der Waals interactions. The light chain of the antibody does not make contacts with the HA and is separated from the nearest HA chain by ~8Ã….
